Reminising on the past

Have you ever looked back years on your blog and re-read your story's? I did today from 2008, I cannot believe how much things have changed in my life and my family's life, It was emotional, my kids were so little, I am way excited I have had a blog for all the "special " things we have done and enjoyed together as a family and especially for the remembering of all the things that has happened. Exciting News!!

This is my Sister!! I am super proud of her, she has put a lot of work into her book! she'll do awesome!!!
And, her book is sooo good! Random House is huge. They are the biggest publisher in the world! Not to mention, she's got one of the best agents, and editors!!!

Oh I love thee

Is there ever a holiday you love so much, you cannot wait for the next year to come so you can enjoy that time of year? I positively absolutely love November, not for the simple fact that it means winter, snow and that awful wind, but its Thanksgiving, and you all thought it was going to be black Friday. I have one special memory from a kid (not really I have more) on Thanksgiving and maybe this is why I love this holiday, but one year I had the flu on Thanksgiving and my grandma came for dinner I was laying on the couch and she came in to check on me and gave me a kiss on my for head I remember that like it was yesterday and maybe I do because she is no longer with us, but it is such a mellow holiday despite all the Christmas decorations at the store and the prepare for Black Friday which I will be there in my winter clothes with a gleam from ear to ear, but its the memory's of thanksgiving that I enjoy so much. And then comes the shake up from that mellow day followed by my 2ND favorite holiday BLACK FRIDAY...... I just don't know why I love it so much, maybe cause it gives you that chance to go crazy and stay out all night freezing and fighting crowds and the long lines at the check out or what, but it gets me going, maybe its the kick off to the Christmas spirit or what but go Black Friday........

Halloween 2011

WOW, I got some awesome pictures!! Emily was a nice witch but I couldn't get her to take the bag out of her mouth???, Kylie was little red ridding Hood, they had fun, we went to the ward dinner and show off your costume to everyone party the ward did not do a trunk or treat this year which I thought was lame, but some of my friends put together one in the park and it was so much fun any way's. Then we went to some of our friends house's to show of the kids, some are older couples and love the see the girls and they always have special treat bags for them. But over all it was a good night and a few fun evenings having Halloween party's.

Happy Birthday Em!!

Emily turns 7 today, she has grown up so much, she has her own personality for sure, I think one of my favorite things about her is her will power, if that's the correct word, she has a very strong personality she wants what she wants and that's it, we have struggles over the years sometimes with that, but that's her, she is super friendly I never worry about her making friends, if she doesn't like what you said or do to her she will let you know with out a doubt. She is a loyal friend, I love that kids call all day for her and she runs outside to talk on the phone because its a "boy" and sometimes Chris and I secretly listen from the window to hear her and we laugh so hard at the conversation, She loves her sister (Em calls her sissy) I am a little nervous for next year when Kylie is in middle school Emily realize on Kylie a lot and I think it is cute. Emily is a daddy's girl for sure sometimes I tell Chris you have something on the back of your pants and he always says I know she hasn't left me. She LOVES to ride 4 wheelers, softball and just playing with her friends, I love when she goes to a neighbors house to play and will come back home for a sec just to say hi Mom I love you, and by sometimes its probably 10 time those few hours of playing. We love her so much and are super thankful she is our daughter.

First day of School

My computer has not downloaded pictures, so I got it fixed and I am kinda going to get caught up, The kids LOVE LOVE school this year, they are in a brand new school and loving it, I am super excited for the new school cause it has AC and its new, they both have awesome teacher's. Kylie has so much more options as a 5Th grader I think cause next year they go to middle school but they did class presidents and officers for the class and Kylie ran for Senator and won which really means the get to plan every Friday activity and do a few more things around the school. Emily's teacher was teacher of the year last year and is awesome, Em loves 1st grade and loves being there all day, and she loves that she gets to eat lunch there every day. I love that there both in school all day and that there happy with there teachers, oh ya Emily has started to think girls aren't so much drama and has more girls as friends this year than last, last year she had all boys and they called ALL the time its was actually quit entertaining cause her dad made fun of her, I kept telling her she was pretty cool that the boys all digged her.

Flaming George weekend

Every year we go down Flaming George with Chris's parents and his brother Casey and his family, its always so much fun to go down the George and to make our tradition's together, we camp for the weekend and eats tons and have a lot of fun, Kylie, Haley and McKinley play so dang good together it has been fun to see them change and get big, and Emily and Ashley and Meg play together awesome too. Every year they all want to sleep together cause they cant seem to get enough of each other, But Chris and I and Casey and Neika switch off having the kids at each other trailer so it ends up being a "free" night, plus the kids think there pretty cool. It was a lot of fun sitting around the campfire talking all night with us adults, cant wait until next year....

I think I may have a problem can you keep a secret??? I love Coupons! there I said it out loud that means I admit it so its ok right!!! and I have a little person that is almost as bad as me can you guess..................yup Emily she is always looking out for a coupon, the funnier thing is I was looking thru her purse the other day and my Mom had given her a coupon binder and it was full of expired coupons, I thought it was pretty funny.

We sold my 4 wheeler a few weeks ago I hated it, So we bought me a new one, we searched for days looking for one I would like, we finally found one, Chris can always spot a good deal and usually gets it for a good deal, sometimes we get them and they need some work but usually Chris gets them for a screaming deal and we make it nice. And if you know Chris he is a TINKER bad I have decided he needs a outside project all the time but thank goodness for his OCD we never have junk laying around unfinished, but we spent some time on this wheeler to make it nicer for me to ride and I love it, and so do the kids in fact Kylie ask if I wanted hers (not) and Emily is perfect with hers for know. Thanks Chris!!!

Summer fun wait it's raining

I set up the slip n slid it was super hot I had found some shade for me to hang out in while the kids ran and got wet, but all the sudden it went dark super fast I told the kids I think we need to be done looks like a storm is coming in, so we turned of the water and started to drain it and the rain came!! it came so fast but it was awesome to watch.

Girls softball team

I really had to share these pictures more than to tell a story cause Emily is a goof ball!! but I will share the story anyways the last 4 months both girls have played softball both on there own teams. This being Emily's first year I have to say was super funny cause well none of these little 6 year old's could play but it was a blast to watch and Emily had so much ambition out there it was fun but by the end of the season there little team had got it Emily has hitting the ball and they all seamed to have it together so next year will be fun too. Kylie has played the last 3 years and this is her favorite sport they had a awesome team and coaches they actually took 2ND (note the trophy) Kylie rocks at this she is a super good hitter and player it was so much fun this year they actually had to try out cause she is on the older league and she made it, Kylie cracked her growth plate towards the end of the season and verily made it Thur the last game. I really wanted her to do the All star team which travels but thank goodness I didn't since the doctor said 6wks no sports Ky was just thankful she finished softball. They had there banquet at the end of the season and everyone got shirts and the teams that placed received trophy that was the highlight for her.

Kid's new school

This is the kids school before, The last day of school they let the kids thrash the school, they gave them spray paint wrote on walls they had a blast, Now the school was built in 1961 50years old and it showed every sign of old, I am so excited for the new school, I think I choose the worst day for pictures since it was dark and stormy..

I suck at blogging lately I am not even current on things that has happening lately, we have been so busy doing stuff with the kids, camping, playing, swimming, parks, summer school, bike riding I haven't even had time to sit and do nothing and the reason is..........
"MY KIDS PLAY SPORTS THERE FOR I HAVE NO LIFE"
ha ha I saw that sticker on a ladies car and had to laugh because both girls are playing softball and it takes up about 5 nights a week for 5pm to dark... but they love it so that's all that matters...

kylie turn's 10

Kylie turned 10 last week I thought she partied it up pretty good, Friday she had her friend party at Paint your heart out, they got to choose a ceramic to paint and take home, we did cake there too the girls had a blast. Saturday we went swimming and had dinner at Pizza hut with our friends, and them we came home to do the family party she got her a skate board and clothes no broken bones yet :) but we had a lot of fun with her.

We was driving home from softball the other day and as I turned the corner there was a cool looking church and Emily asked what kind it was I told her and she ask why do people go there I explained that not all people belief the same as us but that's OK there still good people, she told me she believed in something!!! I thought to my self this is a great lesson I want to know what she believes so I asked her she said
I believe in God
I believe cats are alive
and dogs are to
and Dinosaurs are ex tint!!

I should of said something at that point but what? because at least she believed in God right?
anyways I laughed so hard i was crying.

Kylie and Karate

So I have been meaning to update on Kylie and karate but every time she goes to Karate I forget to take a picture of her with the new belt (well from like 2 months ago) but she had a tournament a little bit ago where she advanced to a yellow belt and it was so much fun to watch everyone move up in rank, now the most interesting thing to me was to me as they only speak Koren to everyone well for the most part and everyone did everything correct it was awesome to know that Kylie understands all that, she can count to 10 in Koren I wonder if she will take it in school where she knows a lot now. But she LOVES it, she has gained so much self confidence out of this class it's awesome.

Happy 11 Year Anniversary!! WOW I cannot believe we have been married that long... A lot has happened over the year's, We have 2 gorgeous girls, Bought a house, sold our house, Moved to Vernal twice.
Thought about another kid but changed our mind. ha ha ha, we are happy with our two!!
Bought a lot of four wheelers and sold a lot. have good friends and family, went on vacation's as a family, played in the dirt plenty of times and enjoyed each other company.

I really did marry my best friend, we share a lot of the same thing's, the same interest's. and we enjoy each others company.

I love this man!

Chris is a great Dad, Husband,I admire his thoughtfulness, he does a lot for us as a family, he works some very long hours some day's so we can have the things we need/want. He spends a lot of time with the kids and I am grateful for that and the kids wanting him to spend the time with him too, he is a tinker some day's it drives me CrAzY!!! but I can say what he does it is 100% he can fix anything sometimes he asks me for advise on fixing things and I act like i now and tell him his idea will work because inside my head I know he will figure it out. Chris does a lot for me too, sometimes I take for granite what he does, like mopping taking care of the vehicles, and helping around the house. Sometimes when my friends complain about there husband not helping I always get to brag about mine and reminds me I am thankful for him. Chris is finally OK with me and the crazy couponing sometimes he would give me crap but after a few trips and seeing the total savings he said he would never give me crap for it and enjoying my deals and how much I saved. Chris is a great Husband he supports me and loves the kids and I.

Don't kill me Mom

Last Sunday it was such a beautiful day we spent the day outside goofing off, we spent a lot time talking Kylie into riding the motorcycle and it worked..
Emily didn't think it was fair she was last so she is patiently waiting for her turn..
She was so excited to have Chris take her she rode a little bit by herself but was to busy looking at me and wasn't doing to well, had fun anyways it was a great day in the sun, and hopefully spring is just around the corner we are ready for more of these days.

The struggles of a 6 year old

So I have a funny story to tell about this girl, But before I start let me explain her personality Emily has always been one to do everything on her own first!! then ask for help, she is dying for a motorcycle and last summer Chris told her she had to ride with no training wheels on your bike before we get a dirt bike, (he thought that would stop the bugging) so Chris took them off he explained what to do and she told Chris let me go I will be fine, and she did day 2 of no training wheels she looked like she was a pro, (That didn't go to well for our plan) so I am sure as soon as it gets warm hear we go again. This is how the story went.
Last Sunday I was cooking dinner and the kids were outside playing with Chris, she comes in the house and sits at the bar stool upset.
Emily: Mom some of the kids at school are calling me a princess
MOM: Honey you act like that's a bad thing, why are they saying that
Emily: because you do my hair to girly
Mom: (as I hold back my laugh because she is furious) Emily what do you want the kids to think about you?
Emily: I want to be known as ONE TOUCH CHICK!!!
MOM: Really Em? its okay to have your hair done all cute like a princess and be a tuff Chick
Emily: oh than that's OK,
so Emily goes back outside to play! phew :)
The funny thing I went thru her clothes and the princess shirt she had is now gone!!

Playing catch up

We have the coolest neighbor after the last snow storm he made a heal and came over and told the kids he made it with a slope so they could sled down it, the kids and Chris were there forever playing and making little jumps.
And the best part was no one got Hurt~ pheww
and everyone had fun
