Some girlie fun + Chris

This is from our last snow storm, Chris hooked up the sled's to my 4-wheeler and took the kids around the yard, 3hrs later they came in when they were done, frozen snow packed kids but had a blast.

Christmas day!!

The kids this year had a blast, well they always do, but Kylie has asked for a Nintendo ds for 2yrs now and we have never given in, we did this year and also got one for Emily, they have loved them, totally worth every Pennie.
the kids love to draw and paint, hopefully this will hold them off for a while.
Kylie wants to be a fashion designer when she grows up, this should help get her started.
I had got these dresses of EBay, they love to dress up barbies, but besides all the clothes, p.j's 250 piece crayons, the fashion designer stuff, earrings and little pet shops, the DS's where the hit, we had a great day, Chris got the camping chair and wii games he asked for and I got to change my bathroom design it was a great day.

The life of a 5yr old.................

I have to tell you about Emily, She has this baby, (in the yellow) that goes everywhere with us, she sleeps with it every night, she treats it as a real baby, she puts it to bed at night the baby has her favorite blankets too, we had gone to my parents for Thanksgiving and we lost it, come to find out Kylie and Alecia had hidden it, but forgot when we were searching for it, but needless to say we went home empty handed, Emily was fine with it, until bed time and she yelled for her to get in bed with her, and then it all came out she cried and cried and on and on, my parents had taken a picture of the baby when they moved the bed and found it shoved behind something. My parents had tucked it in bed for Emily and made sure no one touched it, but she got it back this last weekend, I didn't tell Emily we got it until I could meet with Mary to get it, so I told Emily that morning that after we got ready we have a baby for her, she ran to her room and got the baby's pacifier and said "mom I got her pacifier, because when she See's me she is going to cry so hard, because she missed me so much" she has not put the baby down. What I sweetie I have

Do you have the Christmas spirit

This year I had a goal to be 100% done Christmas shopping by December 1st, so I could sit back and enjoy the Christmas season, so I started month's ago, and I am pretty much done by Dec. 1st, beside a few things, I am probably 95% done, but I don't have the Christmas spirit, no excitement, no thrill, and it seems to be fast approaching us, I was thinking that maybe as it got closer I would be excited but I'm not, I was thinking today maybe I needed to update my blog and list some things that I enjoy doing during the holiday season to get me in the mood.
1. I love it to be snowy on Christmas day
2. I like to make white or chocolate pretzels
3. I like to make new dinner or appetizers on Christmas eve.
4. I like the feel of a 75 degree house after being outside (not much about Christmas but the warmth )
5. I like how my kids think Santa is real, and elf's are real ( ask me later)
6. I like giving neighbor's gifts
7. I like all the different food that everyone makes and brings to work to share
8. I like going to Christmas party's
9. I love Christmas music, and they seem not to play it much this year.
10. I love a Christmas tree
I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!! and remembers the true meaning of Christmas

It's me Kylie

What's not to say about Kylie, she is generous, thoughtful, caring, loving, and gentle, she is her little sister's best friend, 99.5% of the time, (its her sister's fault for that 5%) she is patient with Emily for the most part she plays what Emily wants, just because she likes to make her happy, I know sometimes she would like it to be all about Kylie, but I think she enjoys it, but this year she said she had the worst thanksgiving ever and I had to remind her that just because she got hurt there was tons of good also, she tripped going down the stairs and tryed to catch herself with her hand and cracked a small bone in her arm, she has a brace on for a few weeks. ( she told me she was hoping for a cast ;)) but thank goodness she only has to wear a brace. But this time Emily was thoughtful of Kylie. Kylie didn't complain about the pain, or the trip to the hospital, in fact we were dragging the question's out of her as to how bad her arm was, but it didn't take long before she was running around like nothing happened. thanks goodness.

Thanksgiving

I love Thanksgiving, it is one of my most favorite times of year, I'm not sure if its the anticipation of Christmas right around the corner, the day after Thanksgiving sale, or if its that turkey and mashed patoes that seam to taste so much better on thanksgiving than any other time of year, my kids ask me the other day what was my favorite holiday, I told them Thanksgiving, and asked them and of course it was Christmas. I thought about it that night, why I loved Thanksgiving so much, I remember as a kid going to my aunts house with all my cousins, aunts and uncles and grandma and lovin that, but I remember my grandma coming to our house one year and I had the flu, I remember her strokin my head and maybe that's why I enjoy it, its a memory of someone that's not on earth anymore and I can still feel her, her touch, her took, and her smell, but I enjoy coming and seeing everyone that sometimes seems like a while.

Oh thats nice!

Ok so a little background on the story, Emily plays with stuff when she goes to bed, for quit sometime I have learned to empty out her bed after she goes to sleep, I have found books under her pillow, toys, you name it she has already stashed it, so last night after my little angel went to bed I pulled the covers of her and there it was a BABY shuffed up under her pajamas WOW, I took it out put the covers back on her, so today I asked her why, hear is how the conversation went.
Me, Emily why did you put a baby under your p.j's and go to sleep
Emily, I was playing Mom's and Dad's
me, Why
Emily, Don't be mad Mom we were married, just pretend though so that's ok right
me, Emily you should'nt pretend your going to have a baby
Emily, can I still be married??

About Me!!

So I am the mother of 2 girls, when I was little I always wanted 4 kids, 2 boys and 2 girls, that always sounded like the most perfect life, Oh I forgot the husband part I wanted one of those to, I use to babysit for this lady that had 2 kids me being not so "humble" told her what a boring life you must have 2 kids? I think about what I said to her a lot over the years and thought that wasn't very cool. I have since decided I wanted 3 kids and have for years, since we have been married, Chris wanted 2 me wanting 4 comprised on 3 (ya for me) since then reality has been and we have 2 of the cutest kids (I'm the Mom and this is my blog i can say what I want) I love being a Mom it has been one of the most rewarding parts of life, I think (I know) i have been pooped on peed on, thrown up on, stayed up late worrying about my kids, hoping they have friends at school, they don't miss the bus, trying to protect them from harm. But then crap happens in our life's and we can't get pregnant, I get this stupid decease in my legs and have to wait for 2 yrs before we can even think about trying and then we finally go to the obgyn and it has done a lot of damage to my body, and I was giving my kids a bath well they can pretty much do it them self, I think to my self we are out of diapers sippy cups, diaper bags, midnight feeding, do I want to start over or am I done? but I think back to what I said to that lady and I don't think I have a boring life, it's rather entertaining, between softball, preschool, school, homework, Bunko, Chris's late nights at work,Checker, scouts, and some fun bow party's I think I am pretty full. I love my life with my kids and my honey (as Emmy would say) I think my life is pretty great.

Fire station

Today we went to the fire station for preschool field trip, the kids loved it, the fire chief was down on the ground teaching the kids about fire and safety on there level, the kids were so excited to ride in the fire truck, they even told the kids they could go down the pole but they were so nervous, but good thing for one of the Moms that showed the kids how its done. :) He showed them everything that goes on the truck and how they dress up, it was quit interesting I don't think I have every seem that much info on the fire trucks before. What a fun day..

Happy Birthday Emily

Today this little baby turned into not so much a baby but a little girl, she's 5, Chris called me today and said I guess she's to old to call his baby! Emily is such a fun kid to have in our family, she is always happy, kissable, she is very thoughtful of everyone, she told me the other day that I got as many kisses that I wanted, but Chris had to pay her 6 bucks per kiss, not sure where 6 bucks came but it was worth the try, and made us all laugh, she is excited for kindergarten to start, she loves her preschool class and today it was at our house so I had all the kids make there cupcakes and decorate them, as I took the picture I laughed at these cute little kids and there personality's they have and how each one is different. Happy Birthday Emmy

First day of 3rd grade

Today was Kylie's first day of school, she had a lot of mixed emotions about School this year, we had found out on the last day of School who the teacher's were for next year and none of her friends were in her class, I had explained to Ky about making some new friends and her old friends were still there for recess time as well, we had requested a teacher and she loves her class I think this year will be better than last, she is down the big kid hall, which is also the big kid play ground, she was pretty happy and the end of school which is a big relief, one day I wont cry when I drop her off.

To be a kid again

I have this little girl, she as sweet as they get, she gives you as many kisses as you ask, she makes you laugh, she makes you wonder, whats next? she's a run for your money, she challenges you to see what's next, she's friendly, she makes friends everywhere, everyone knows where we live there no secert to this little girl. She tells you what she thinks of you, in my mind she's a open book, but you better be careful she is full of surprises. I have learned with Emily when she finally brakes down and goes to sleep, pull off her covers's check under her pillow you never know what this child had hid under the covers, from Lego's under her pillow, crayons, flashlights, books stacked high, Kylie's favorite toys (hum ) sometimes she finally breaks down and falls asleep at the other end of the bed, it seems to me I am always picking her up moving her to the pillow and once again cleaning toys out of her bed and under the pillows, I laugh so hard to wonder what is she thinking? I'm not sure and I'm not sure she knows. I just give her a big kiss and close her door.

Kid's they grow so fast

I can't believe summer is almost over, (24days left) I have been thinking about the girls and how this summer has been more memorable than alot, I feel like I have enjoyed the summer more, we have done alot more activities than in the past, I have really worked hard this year on the girls liking Vernal and showing them how much fun there is to offer hear. We have LOVED the ward and the people, I have tried really hard to get the kids to there church activity's, this last month the primary did a pioneer activity, afterward when we came home Kylie admitted she Loves Vernal which made me so happy, I told her that why it is so important to go to church so we can meet these fun people too. We also signed up for a play group and we have loved to hang out and go do fun activity's with the girls and other kids, We also signed up for the library activities that are weekly and amazing Kylie like them more than Emily, we all signed up for softball, Kylie loved it and I signed up for a girls softball team, and Chris and I are also playing co-ed (that's funner) and soccer starts soon, I have feel like we have played more than I've work. We have swimmed tell our hair is turning green, and we still seem to keep going every week to the lake and our friends pool. We have really enjoyed living hear, I am thankful for a wonderful husband, I feel bad sometimes he works we play, but that's life sometimes, Chris and I haven't always been good at going to Church until we moved out hear and made a goal to go, I have decided you really lean on the church when you move to a new place, we met this neighbor next door (Lani) that has made the difference in going to church, they encouraged us to go. I always look at her and think she the best neighbor (missionary) any one could ask for. I lean on her alot but she's the best, I should go and make her some cookies.

Happy Birthday Kylie

I'm a few day's late but it's been a crazy week, Kylie turned 8 on Thursday, her and her friends went swimming at the rec. center, it was fun to watch those girls play, there growing up so fast there's just something sweet just to watch them play, That night we went to her favorite place to eat Stockman's for steak, yum yum, I felt this Birthday was going to be a 4 day celebration with all the family coming out on Friday, and Saturday and going home on Sunday, Kylie was baptised on Saturday May 2nd at the Vernal stake center by her Dad, they did such a good job,
Sunday in Church the bishop called her up in sacramenting and gave her a book of Mormon with the bishopric testimonies inside, (then we got called into the bishopric office for talks :) we have such a good ward to be living in I'm thankful for our friends we have made hear and the good examples they are to our family, they have in-courage us to go to Church and we are thankful we have.

I'm proud of Kylie and the choice she made. Happy Birthday Ky...
